Carpenter's Assistant/Laborer

A Carpenter's Assistant/Laborer is required to provide all necessary assistance to the Production Manager(s), Project Manager(s), and Carpenter(s) by performing entry-level maintenance and construction tasks involving physical labor and basic carpentry tasks. Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Complete all work as directed by the Production Manager or Project Manager.

Assist Carpenters in completing their work, including but not limited to, performing basic carpentry work, getting material needed, as well as jobsite organization and cleanup

Perform a variety of routine, non-machine tasks such as: preparing job sites, jobsite organization and cleanup,

Requirements for the Position:

Minimum of 1 to 2 years’ experience in Remodeling or related work.

Possess basic tool knowledge and furnish all hand tools and small power tools as necessary to complete job.

Be polite and courteous to the client, subcontractors and co-workers; and conduct oneself in a professional manner at all times.

Follow jobsite safety procedures and point out unsafe conditions.

Be able to communicate with others clearly.

Must be 18 years of age.

Must be able to lift 75 lbs regularly throughout a shift.

Must be able to stand for the duration of shift with a good amount of walking.

Must have reliable transportation, tardiness is not acceptable.

Schedule:

Official workday: Monday to Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., or as directed by the Project Manager. Overtime is occasionally necessary.
