Our client, a large, busy, and growing healthcare organization located in Effingham, Illinois, is currently looking to hire an experienced direct-hire full-time Laboratory Manager.

Client: Hospital Sisters Health Systems (HSHS) St. Anthony’s Memorial Hospital

Job Responsibilities

• As a Lab Manager, you will be responsible for the oversight and leadership of high complexity testing for the laboratory sections or department, including operations, accreditation, and supervision of the laboratory staff.

• You will assist in the overall operational, budgetary, and financial responsibilities and activities; plan and allocate resources to accomplish the work to meet productivity and quality goals; consistently exercise discretion and judgment to maintain proper service.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Biology, Medical Laboratory Science, or a related field is required or equivalent relevant work experience.

• 3 years of laboratory supervisory and/or team lead experience is required.

• Main Location: Effingham, IL / Travel: Some travel to Local Off-Site Locations

• On Call: On call for scheduled needs on a rotating basis.

Certifications

Medical Laboratory Scientist or Medical Technologist Certification is required or eligibility for certification by a nationally recognized certifying agency such as: (ASCP), (NCA), (AMT), or (HEW).
