* We are seeking a dynamic Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) with experienced healthcare leadership to lead and provide compassionate, patient-centered psychiatric and mental health care across the lifespan.

This role is responsible for assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients with a wide range of behavioral health needs, including mood disorders, anxiety, substance use, and servere and persistent mental illness.

The PNP will work in collaboration with physicians, therapists, case managers, and other health care professionals to deliver holistic, cuultrurally sensitive care that promotes wellness and recovery.

Requirements Key Responsibilities * Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, including mental status examinations, patient histories, and risk assessments.

* Diagnose psychiatric conditions and develop evidence-based treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.

* Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications in compliance with state and federal regulations.

* Provide supportive psychotherapy, psychoeducation, and crisis intervention as appropriate.

* Monitor patient progress, treatment adherence, and side effects, adjusting plans as needed.

* Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care and ensure continuity across medical, behavioral and social services.

* Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation in the electronic health record (EHR). * Participate in quality improvement initiatives, case conferences, and continuing education to advance professional practice * Uphold UNHS's mission and values, providing culturally competent care that respects the traditions and needs of the communities served.

Qualifications Requirments: * Current, unrestricted license as a Nurse Practitioner in Utah * Certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) by ANCC or equivalent board, * DEA registration with prescriptive authority for controlled substances.

* Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in psychiatric/mental health preferred (new graduates considered with strong clinical training). * Strong clinical judgment, communication, and interpersonal skills.

* Commitment to collaborative, patient-centered, and trauma-informed care.

Working Conditions * Outpatient clinic and/or telehealth settings; occasional inpatient or crisis coverage as needed.

* Regular interaction with patients experiencing acute psychiatric symptoms or crises.

* May require evening or weekend hours depending on patient and clinic needs Navajo Preference in Hiring: In accordance with the Navajo Nation Preference in Employment Act (NPEA), preference in hiring will be given to qualified Navajo applicants.
