Pediatric Gastroenterology NO-CALL OR WEEKENDS near Hilton Head Island

The Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) is seeking a board-certified pediatric gastroenterologist to join the Division of Pediatric Gastroenterology within its nationally recognized Department of Pediatrics in coastal South Carolina. This is a highly desirable NO-CALL/NO-WEEKEND full-time position near Hilton Head Island. The Gastroenterology & GI Surgery program is repeatedly recognized on the US News & World Report Best Childrens Hospital Rankings, and it is the largest and most comprehensive program in the region. The program maintains an active consultation service for children with gastrointestinal, nutritional, motility, pancreas, and liver problems. The Pediatric Gastroenterology Division performs over 13,000 outpatient visits, 2,500 inpatient consultations, and 1,400 procedures annually with an emphasis on excellence in clinical care. The team is the only pediatric liver transplant center, motility center, and pediatric advanced therapeutic endoscopy in South Carolina. We also collaborate with many other specialties at MUSC Childrens Health to treat patients holistically.

In 2020, MUSC Childrens Health opened the Shawn Jenkins Childrens Hospital and Pearl Tourville Womens Pavilion, a 100,000 square foot, 250-bed, state-of-the-art building that is transforming the delivery of fetal, womens and childrens care in the region. Supporting the outstanding clinical care at our Childrens Hospital and Womens Pavilion is the Charles P. Darby Childrens Research Institute, the largest pediatric research facility in the Carolinas, and one of only 15 like it in the country.

MUSC Childrens Health Pediatric Gastroenterology is seeking to expand our outpatient consultation delivery near Hilton Head Island (Bluffton), SC

The NEW MUSC Bluffton Medical Pavilion will open in Spring of 2026, and include radiology, pharmacy, and laboratory services, in addition to ambulatory clinical care within the 3-story, 54,000 square foot medical office building.

Currently, our team provides care in the region two days per week. Due to increasing demand, we are expanding to offer full-time access to pediatric gastroenterology care in the area.

This role is Outpatient-Only! Enjoy a high-quality lifestyle with no call or after-hours responsibilities.

Join a supportive and collaborative team of 12 faculty physicians, 5 APPs, and a dedicated team of dieticians and nutritionists

Enjoy a schedule of 4 clinic days and 1 administrative day per week, with an average of 12 patients per day.
