Work Schedule:

Regular hours: 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday.

Compensation and Benefits:

Pay: Competitive salary with annual performance bonuses and regular salary increases.

Paid Time Off: 50–55 days per year, including:

26 days of annual leave

13 days of sick leave

11 paid federal holidays

Possible 5-day paid absence for Continuing Medical Education (CME)

Retirement:

Traditional federal pension with 5 years vesting.

Licensure:

About the Role:

The Physician - Assistant Chief, Pathology and Laboratory Medicine Service (P&LMS) will report to the Chief of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine Service. The successful applicant will be a licensed pathologist, board-certified by the American Board of Pathology in both anatomic and clinical pathology.

Anatomic Pathology Section Includes:

Surgical Pathology

Cytopathology

Dermatopathology

Hematopathology

Autopsy

Histology lab

Immunohistochemistry lab

Clinical Pathology Division Includes:

Blood Bank

Chemistry and Toxicology

Hematology

Immunology

Microbiology

Phlebotomy

Point of Care testing

Urinalysis

Send-out testing
