General Surgeon Opportunity - Southside Regional Medical Center Petersburg, VA

Southside Regional Medical Center is actively seeking a General Surgeon to join our well-established surgical practice in Petersburg, Virginia, just 30 minutes south of Richmond.

What We're Looking For:

Board-certified/eligible General Surgeon

5+ years of experience preferred

Strong skills in general surgery: hernia, gallbladder, abdominal surgeries

Experience or interest in colon cancer, anorectal disease, and colonoscopy is a plus

Bariatric experience or willingness to cover bariatric call highly preferred

What You Can Expect:

Full-time schedule: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm

Up to 7 call days/month (24hr shifts)

Mix of clinical, ER support, inpatient consults, and occasional primary call

Average 20 patients/day

Adult and geriatric patient base from primary care, ER, and inpatient referrals
