OB/GYN Physician Opportunity - North Carolina
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate OB/GYN Physician to join our healthcare team in North Carolina. This position offers the opportunity to provide comprehensive womens health care across outpatient, inpatient, and surgical settings, while also being part of a collaborative, patient-centered environment.
Key Responsibilities
Patient Care:
Conduct routine and specialized exams to assess reproductive health
Manage and monitor pregnancies, including prenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum care
Diagnose and treat gynecological conditions such as menstrual disorders, infertility, and pelvic pain
Develop and implement treatment plans, including medications, lifestyle modifications, and surgical interventions
Surgical Procedures:
Perform gynecological surgeries, including hysterectomies, laparoscopies, and minimally invasive procedures
Conduct deliveries, including vaginal births and cesarean sections
Manage surgical complications and provide postoperative care
Patient Counseling and Education:
Educate patients on sexual and reproductive health, contraception, menopause, and related topics
Provide counseling and emotional support to patients and their families
Address patient concerns and guide them through treatment options
Collaboration and Coordination:
Work closely with nurses, midwives, and specialists to provide integrated care
Collaborate with hospital staff for management of complex cases
Maintain accurate and confidential patient records
Professional Development:
Stay current with medical research, best practices, and advances in OB/GYN
Attend continuing education courses, workshops, and conferences
Participate in professional organizations and committees
Administrative Duties:
Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards
Manage patient schedules and administrative tasks related to care
Oversee billing and documentation for procedures and treatments
Qualifications:
Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited medical school
Valid North Carolina medical license
Board Certification by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG)
Current ACLS and NRP certifications
Working Conditions:
Environment: Clinic and hospital settings
Hours:
Clinic: Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm
Rotating hospital call, including evenings, weekends, and extended hours for deliveries and emergencies
Physical Requirements: Ability to meet the physical demands of surgery, labor and delivery, and extended shifts
