Primary Care Physician - Creedmoor, NC
Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Primary Care Physician to join our healthcare team in Creedmoor, NC. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive primary care services to patients in a rural setting, addressing a wide range of medical conditions and promoting overall wellness in the community.
Key Responsibilities
Patient Care
Conduct thorough evaluations, including history taking, physical exams, and diagnostic assessments
Develop and implement treatment plans for acute and chronic conditions
Perform routine and preventive care, including vaccinations, screenings, and health education
Manage common illnesses and injuries, coordinating care for complex cases as needed
Provide care for patients of all ages, from pediatrics to geriatrics
Community Engagement
Foster strong relationships with patients and families, addressing their unique needs
Participate in community health initiatives and educational programs
Advocate for the healthcare needs of the local population
Collaboration and Coordination
Work collaboratively with specialists, nurses, and support staff
Coordinate patient referrals and follow-up care
Utilize telemedicine and other technologies to extend access to care
Administrative Duties
Maintain accurate, up-to-date patient records in compliance with legal and ethical standards
Support administrative functions, including scheduling and documentation
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to practice guidelines
Emergency Care
Provide urgent medical care when needed
Manage a broad range of medical emergencies in a rural setting
Professional Development
Stay current with medical advancements and continuing education requirements
Participate in professional organizations and relevant conferences
Qualifications:
Education: MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
Licensure: Valid NC medical license or eligibility for licensure
Board Certification: Board-certified or board-eligible in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, or a related field
Experience: Prior experience in a rural or underserved setting preferred, but not required
Skills:
Strong clinical expertise across a broad spectrum of conditions
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work independently and manage diverse patient needs
Proficiency in EHR systems and related technologies
Working Conditions:
Environment: Outpatient clinic
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
Physical Requirements: Ability to perform medical procedures and assist/lift patients as necessary
