Project Manager

A client of ours is looking for a Project Manager for a contract role. This role is responsible for managing initiatives from concept approval through to manufacturing and launch. The ideal candidate will be skilled at coordinating cross-functional teams, ensuring financial and operational targets are met, and maintaining alignment with our stage-gate process.

Responsibilities of Project Manager

Manage multiple projects simultaneously, overseeing timelines, budgets, risks, and deliverables.

Partner with cross-functional teams (R& D, Marketing, Quality, Supply Chain, Finance, and Business Units) as well as external stakeholders to drive project success.

Lead project team meetings to ensure task completion, remove roadblocks, and escalate issues when needed.

Ensure accuracy and completeness of innovation information throughout the Stage-Gate process.

Coordinate and present platform and project reviews for project teams and senior leadership.

Monitor project financials to ensure performance against set targets.

Develop and maintain project timelines, risk assessments, and status reports.

Prepare and submit stage-gate documentation for approval.

Support portfolio reviews and business reviews with data, insights, and updates.

Contribute to the continuous improvement of project management tools, processes, and templates.

Help drive adoption of global innovation standards, methodologies, and processes across the organization.

Provide clear visibility, analysis, and reporting of project progress to senior leadership.

Skills/Qualifications of Project Manager

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Project Management, or related field; PMP certification a plus

5+ years of project management experience, ideally in product development, consumer goods, or manufacturing.

Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects with competing deadlines.

Strong financial acumen with experience tracking and managing project budgets.

Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.

Experience with stage-gate or similar innovation processes preferred.

Proficiency with project management software/tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, or equivalent).
