We are currently searching for an experienced Roadway EIT to support our East Gulf Region located in Brentwood/Nashville, Knoxville, Chattanooga, or Memphis, TN. Candidates must be willing to relocate to Tennessee if out of state.

What you’ll be doing:

Collects and analyzes data for inclusion in project plans and reports

Assists and prepares project plans using OpenRoads Designer

Contributes to the preparation and/or modification of engineering reports and calculations for a wide variety of projects

Prepares and assists in the preparation of project construction quantities and cost estimates

Prepare and assist in the preparation of project specifications

Review project quantity estimates, details, and check calculations and drawings for compliance with project requirements

Prepare and assist in the preparation of project schedules

Performs other duties as assigned

What you need to have:

BS in Civil Engineering

Recent college graduates encouraged to apply

EIT (E.I) Certification is desired but not required

0 - 4 years of experience

Experience with OpenRoads Designer is preferred

Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening to ensure a safe and productive work environment. Volkert adheres to federal guidelines, which may include testing for substances such as marijuana. Please note that federal regulations may differ from state-specific guidelines

Valid driver’s license

A satisfactory motor vehicle report (MVR)
