Summary:

We are currently seeking a full time Professional Civil Engineer to support our Commercial Business. The primary responsibility will be design review of RedBuilt shop drawings and joist/truss designs which are prepared for our commercial construction materials business. The Professional Engineer will also be responsible for leadership and to provide training guidance to designers, EITs and a technical sales force. Secondary responsibilities may include development and implementation of design methodologies, code evaluation approvals and implementation of the Quality Management System.

Requirements, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (Minimum Qualifications):

Successful candidates must be able to thrive in a team environment to deliver for our customers.

Registered Professional Engineer.

Experience in Structural or Civil Engineering required.

Experience with Engineered Wood Products and a general knowledge of wood construction a plus.

Must be computer literate including EXCEL and WORD. Experience with Revit or the willingness to quickly learn a plus.

Must have excellent written and oral skills.

Ability to establish and maintain excellent working relationships with customers, sales associates and the technical team.

Must be able to provide design assistance to design professionals, builders, building inspectors, and sales associates.

Manufacturing and product application knowledge is desirable.
