The Opportunity

As the Manager of Development, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of data center infrastructure across Northern Virginia. Working collaboratively with the Senior Director of Development, you will lead various aspects of site acquisition, planning, and development processes, ensuring the company meets the growing demands of its hyperscale and cloud service provider clients.

What You'll Do

Lead due diligence, title, and survey matters from inception through site acquisition

Coordinate efforts among landowners, surveyors, utility providers, consultants, and attorneys

Foster relationships with community groups and stakeholders

Oversee ALTA surveys and preliminary project design plans

Review and negotiate proposals and contracts

Manage project progress and identify critical path challenges

Create and update project budgets and financial models

Strategize long-term team expansion

Contribute to data center design standards

What You'll Need

Minimum 2 years of experience in commercial real estate development

Strong understanding of permitting and regional real estate laws

Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently

In-depth knowledge of local, state, and federal permitting processes

Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, Google Earth, and Adobe Acrobat

Experience managing teams and prioritizing deliverables

Well-versed in negotiating complex real estate agreements

Working knowledge of environmental and regulatory permit compliance

Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Project Management, Planning, Land Development, or related field preferred

Location

This position will be based in Northern Virginia and will require 1-2 days in the office.
