Since 1963, Sheakley has been a leader in safety management and EHS outsourcing. We are actively hiring a skilled Safety Manager with experience in mechanical and construction safety for a new data center construction project in Mt. Pleasant, WI.

Job Title: Safety Manager

Location: Mt. Pleasant, WI

Start Date: ASAP

Project Duration: 4 - 8 months

Job Type: 1099 Contractor

Compensation:

Hourly Rate: $48 - $52/hr

Per Diem: $125/day (Days worked / 7 day per diem if full work week completed

Pay: Weekly

Schedule:

Monday - Saturday 10-hour shifts 5pm - 3:30am

Project Scope:

You'll be part of a significant project involving the installation of 200,000 ft of pipe and water lines for a state-of-the-art data center. With 130+ skilled professionals on-site, your role as Safety Manager will be critical in ensuring a safe, efficient, and compliant work environment.

Qualifications:

Experience:

5+ years of Safety Management/Construction experience

3+ years of mechanical systems experience, preferably in data centers or electrical projects

Certifications:

OSHA 510 certification (required)

BCSP certification (CHST, CSP, STS-C, ASP) preferred

Language Skills: Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus

Specialized Skills: Rigging experience preferred

Key Responsibilities:

Lead safety kick-off meetings to align teams on best practices

Conduct job safety analyses (JSAs) to mitigate risks

Oversee permitting processes to ensure regulatory compliance

Perform comprehensive equipment inspections for safety readiness

Prepare detailed safety reports and documentation

Manage field safety operations and enforce compliance

Skills Required:

Strong communication and public speaking abilities to lead trainings and meetings

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)

Attention to detail with excellent organizational and multitasking skills

Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment

Professionalism and confidentiality in managing sensitive information
