BAE Systems, one of the world's leading defense contractors and a stable Fortune 500 Company, is hiring a Program Manager for Naval Fleet Field Service and Maintenance in Norfolk, VA. In this role, you will manage the business and financial operations of Fleet Support sites in Norfolk, VA. You will lead operations, projects, and people management strategies. You will work cross-functionally and support business development, proposals, pricing, contract negotiating, entered orders, operational and contractual performance, gross profit, and customer relations. You will need strong project management and people management skills to support a workforce that deploys across the world.
Schedule/Travel:
This role will work Monday through Friday and hours are 7:00AM – 3:30PM EST.
This role will work onsite in Norfolk, VA
This role will annually travel to San Diego, CA, Jacksonville, FL. and Minneapolis, MN for corporate meetings and events.
Bachelor's Degree and 8 years of experience, or equivalent experience
Experience in Program/Project Management
Experience in People Management
Experience in Defense (DoD)/Defense Contracting
Experience in Field Service/Maintenance
High level of analytical ability to analyze entered orders, market tendencies, workload, sales forecast, competitor cost structures, bid and pricing decisions, customer required surges, and business capture opportunities
Innovation skills to develop creative approaches which respond to a dynamic business environment, especially with respect to diverse worldwide programs and staffing
Excellent communication skills to include public speaking in presentation environments consisting of senior business managers and senior government leadership
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite to include Word, Excel and Power Point
