Job Description

Make a direct impact. Build practical solutions. Help others rebuild their lives.

CAPSA is seeking a driven and compassionate Case Manager to join our team with a specialized focus on housing advocacy and financial sustainability. In this role, you'll support survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking in securing and maintaining safe, stable housing. Whether it's helping someone transition from emergency shelter to long-term housing, navigating local rental markets, or advocating with landlords and housing programs, you'll play a key role in restoring safety, independence, and hope. You'll also help clients navigate complex systems and build momentum toward lasting change.

What You'll Do

Support survivors in finding, securing and maintaining safe, stable housing-including helping them transition out of CAPSA's shelter-by navigating local rental markets, understanding lease agreements, communicating with landlords, and accessing housing programs and resources.

Guide clients through housing processes: applying for rentals, understanding leases, coordinating with landlords, and overcoming housing barriers.

Educating clients about household budgeting, how to access local resources, and how to achieve financial sustainability through employment.

Coordinate and participate in client-focused housing groups to provide education, build housing readiness, and support survivors as they navigate the transition to independent living.

Maintain a client caseload and follow up regularly to assess progress and identify emerging needs.

Educate clients about the dynamics of abuse, trauma, and long-term safety planning.

Document all client interactions, action plans, and assessments in accordance with ethical and grant-related standards.

Contribute to program reporting and support CAPSA's broader mission through data and narrative documentation.

What You Bring

Preferred: Bachelor's degree in social work or a related field.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills-able to connect with clients and coordinate with professionals.

Experience or familiarity with local housing markets, rental processes, and barriers faced by renters.

Ability to remain calm and effective in crisis-centered situations.

A collaborative, solution-oriented approach with a focus on client empowerment.

Working knowledge of trauma, domestic violence, sexual assault, and human trafficking.

Preferred: SSW licensure and/or Spanish language skills.

Why CAPSA?

At CAPSA, you'll be part of a mission-driven team working to prevent abuse, end abuse, and support survivors. We offer a high-performance, supportive work culture focused on meaningful impact. You'll have the opportunity to grow your skills, build practical solutions, and help individuals and families find stability, safety, and hope.
