Slabe Machine Products is hiring a Mill-Turn, Swiss, and Mill CNC Machinist! With the growth of the company, we are looking to expand our 2nd shift staff! Under general supervision, machinists perform varied machining operations. Analyzes Engineering Blueprints, specifications, and instructions to operate all CNC Machine Tools. Machine list: Star Swiss, Doosan, Eurotech, Haas Vertical, Makino Horizontal and Vertical. Pay pending skill level.

We are currently seeking CNC Machinists/operators for Mill, Swiss, and Mill/Turn CNC Machining. These positions are for the 2nd shift.

Key Responsibilities

Maintain and operate a variety of CNC equipment on the production floor.

Make adjustments to ensure parts are meeting quality requirements.

Able to demonstrate good manufacturing practices.

Safely utilize a variety of hand tools, power tools, and machines.

Responsible for loading parts, operating controls, setting offsets, simple edits, deburring, and inspection of quality parts for conformance to requirements.

Able to interpret drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work pieces, sequence of operations, and requirements.

Responsible for keeping equipment and work area clean and orderly and performing basic preventative maintenance functions of the equipment.

Maintain quality records.

Communicate with supervisor, engineers, production control, quality, and other shop personnel for assignments and to resolve machining or quality issues.

May perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Skills Knowledge and Expertise

Minimum of 2 years related experience.

Technical/trade school training or equivalent preferred.

Knowledge of computer operations and applications.

Must be able to read and comprehend engineering drawings, sketches, and verbal and written communications to accomplish the job at hand.

Experience manufacturing aerospace and medical-grade components.
