If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you! We are currently seeking a full-time or part-time Medication Technician to join our healthcare team at Legacy House of Avondale.

WHAT YOU DO AS A MEDICATION TECHNICIAN

As a full- or part-time Medication Technician, you help maintain the dignity and privacy of our residents while ensuring their safety and well-being. You have the opportunity to assist residents with personal and medical needs and help them maintain their independence. Your work is critical to ensuring that our residents receive the best care possible.

On any given day you can be found administering medications, including injections for diabetic residents, and providing other medical support, including changing dressings and performing skin care. It does your heart good to make a meaningful impact in the lives of our assisted living residents!

QUALIFICATIONS FOR A MEDICATION TECHNICIAN

A current AZ Caregiver Certificate and CPR/First Aid card

A current fingerprint clearance card and food handler's card

A current negative TB result

Ability to complete a designated training program as prescribed by the LPN Resident Care Coordinator or supervisor

Ability to effectively communicate with senior residents, families, supervisors, and employees

Ability to push, pull, bend, stoop, twist, and reach as well as to stand for long periods of time

Physical ability to assist in lifting and transferring residents

Ability to work 2:00 pm - 10:00 pm
