Our Coding Specialist is an essential part of our Medical Records team who will be responsible for accurately coding & billing of medical records, ensuring compliance with billing and coding healthcare regulations. This role will require a strong knowledge of medical terminology, healthcare billing practices, knowledge of anatomy and physiology, and ICD-10-CM & CPT coding principles. Role also requires collaboration with healthcare providers as necessary, maintaining coding & billing knowledge as maintaining confidentiality of patient information.

Education: Minimum education level of associate degree or equivalent in work experience and continuing education. CPB & CPC certification, and AAPC membership required within 1 year of hire. Willing to work with candidate on obtaining both certifications. Preference of previous experience in coding of healthcare records.

The working conditions will be in a clean, well-lighted area, with long periods of sitting and/or standing, and frequent repetitive motion of the hands/wrists involved. The Coding Specialist works Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week. Coding Specialist will train on-site but has the ability to work on-site or at home, per manager preference.
