· Compiles information from all departments in the refinery to produce a comprehensive turnaround work scope.
· Produces detailed work lists, cost estimates, AFE’s schedules and job packages from turnarounds and coordinates service contractors and procure materials for both capital and maintenance turnaround work.
· Coordinates service contractors and procures materials for both capital and maintenance turnaround work.
· Compiles turnaround work lists from Refinery Inspection, Operations, Maintenance, Reliability Engineering, Project Engineering, Technical Support, Instrument and Electrical and Rotating Equipment Groups.
· Reviews all turnaround jobs in the field.
· Develops a step-by-step resource loaded work schedule in Primavera Project Planner (P3) for all turnaround work.
· Produces work packages to issue to contractors including work lists, work scopes, schedules, drawings, blind lists and material lists.
· Develops detailed turnaround cost estimates.
· Schedules turnaround meetings and distributes revised turnaround work lists.
· Determines and audits manpower levels for service contractors and Valero maintenance crafts.
· Coordinates service contractors for both capital and maintenance turnaround work.
· Procures materials for both capital and maintenance turnaround work.
· Coordinates the pick-up and delivery of items to be worked on by outside shops.
· Develops & submits turnaround AFE's (Authorization for Expenditure).
· Tracks costs during turnarounds.
· Maintains electronic and hard copy filing systems for all turnaround information.
· Performs other duties as assigned.
This position is salaried exempt status, which means you are not eligible for overtime pay.
· High school diploma required.
· Bachelor’s (or higher) degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
· 10 years of planning and/or maintenance experience in a refinery or a related industry required.
· Experience reading engineering drawings, such as plot plans, piping isometrics, and P&ID’s required.
· Experience using computer-based planning and scheduling tools required.
· Experience with SAP (System Analysis Program) software preferred.
· Drafting and P3 experience preferred.
· Supervisory experience preferred.
· Able and willing to work on-site, in-person at the Valero McKee Refinery required.
