Corporate Associate/Counsel
Our client, an AmLaw 200 firm, is seeking a Corporate Associate to join its Corporate practice group in it’s Charlotte, NC office. This group represents both public and privately owned companies in a variety of business matters, including commercial contract issues, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate governance counsel.
The ideal candidate will have over three years of corporate transactional experience. While M&A experience is welcome, it is not required. A strong business background and the ability to quickly grasp business concepts are highly valued. This position involves reviewing, drafting, and negotiating principal and ancillary agreements related to supply, purchase, service, transportation, and other commercial transactions. The candidate will be engaged in a wide variety of corporate and commercial projects and will have extensive client contact, providing pragmatic counsel. Candidates should possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, a willingness to ask questions and learn, and a desire to work in a team-oriented environment.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Juris Doctor degree (or equivalent degree)
Admission to the North Carolina State Bar preferred.
