Position Title: Senior QC Inspector – Incoming Components LabPosition Summary

The Senior QC Inspector is responsible for sampling, inspecting, and verifying incoming raw materials, processing aids, and packaging components. This role ensures materials meet Fareva’s standards by conducting tests and reviewing vendor certificates, all while maintaining proper documentation. Daily tasks are supervised, and the role requires fundamental knowledge of quality control processes.Key Responsibilities

Sampling and Testing:

Conduct routine sampling of raw materials, processing aids, and packaging materials.

Ensure sampled materials are properly identified, stored, and tested following cGMP standards.

Perform visual, chemical, and mechanical tests, and verify vendor certificates against specifications.

Recording and Analysis:

Document testing results accurately according to cGMPs and SOPs.

Identify any atypical results, equipment malfunctions, or methodology issues and report findings.

Use electronic data management systems for record-keeping.

Lab Support:

Maintain a clean and organized work area.

Assist with scheduling sampling and testing activities.

SOP Compliance and Training:

Follow and maintain SOPs, train junior staff, and update procedures as needed.Interaction with Other Departments

QC Management: Receives daily guidance on tasks and assignments.

QC Peers: Coordinates on workload priorities and consults on method interpretations.Education and Experience

Preferred: Associate Degree in a Science-related field.

Alternative: High School diploma with at least 7 years of relevant experience.Technical Skills

Basic understanding of quality control and analytical techniques (e.g., RAMAN, UV/VIS, FTIR).

Ability to interpret and document test results in accordance with SOPs.

Problem-solving skills to address technical issues with management’s guidance.Physical Requirements

Must be able to sit, stand, walk, climb, and lift between 25-50 lbs as part of daily duties.
