The Lake Estate groundskeeper maintains the resorts exterior in excellent condition, including landscaping, groundskeeping, and janitorial duties. They are responsible for lawn care, plant care, and ensuring the overall cleanliness and safety of the property.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Landscaping and Lawn Care: Mowing lawns, trimming hedges, removing debris, planting flowers, and caring for plants.

Janitorial Services: Cleaning pathways, parking lots, and outdoor public areas.

Plant Care: Watering, weeding, mulching, and pruning plants and trees.

Safety and Maintenance: Identifying and reporting safety hazards, maintaining irrigation systems, and handling minor outdoor repairs.

Equipment Maintenance: Ensuring equipment is in good working condition and maintains inventory.

General Groundskeeping: Clearing trash, brush, and debris, and maintaining the overall visual appeal of the property.

Event Support: Assisting with preparation for events and activities on the grounds.

Collaboration: Working with other hotel departments to ensure a smooth and efficient operation.

Specific Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

High School Diploma (or equivalent)

Must be able to work a flexible work schedule

Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) used in the resort.

Must have good customer service skills

Must be detail oriented with outstanding organizational and communication skills.

Ability to exercise good judgment in regard to resort grounds maintenance and upkeep needs.

Ability to multitask and work well under pressure.

Work with minimal supervision.

Work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team.

Follow directions thoroughly.

Physical Requirements:

Standing and walking frequently for up to entire work shift.

Lifting up to 10 pounds consistently, up to 75 or more pounds occasionally.

Able to reach, lift, carry, push, pull, grasp, manipulate or otherwise move objects.

Frequent bending, squatting, twisting and turning.

As a year-round property, long hours during peak periods may be required.
