Software Developer

COMPUTER/IT Software Developer, IBM Corporation, San Jose, CA (Up to 20% tele-commuting permitted): Work on the Cloud Pak for Data core platform development team, contributing to both front-end and back-end development to implement software features.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including design, content, and product management, to design, implement, and test optimal solutions for the platform.

Develop automated test cases for all API test scenarios.

Access a range of technical training to grow your expertise and learn from senior leaders.

Engage with various clients, leveraging knowledge in container management technologies and database management, alongside software development skills in both functional and object oriented programming.

Apply professional experience in software development using functional and/or object-oriented programming.

Communicate complex ideas effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders through strong written and verbal communication.

Use advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, alongside experience with servers, applications, and databases.

Leverage experience with version control systems and development tools on different platforms.

Apply continuous integration / continuous delivery (CI/CD) methodologies, working within Agile and Scrum frameworks.

Leverage programming expertise to drive platform development, ensuring high-quality standards through active participation in debugging, troubleshooting, and quality assurance efforts.

Contribute to the automation of processes, with a focus on maintaining quality throughout development.

Utilize: NodeJS, Kubernetes, Nginx, SQL, Docker, RedHat OpenShift.

Required: Master's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering or related (employer will accept a Bachelor's degree plus five (5) years of progressive experience in lieu of a Master's degree) and one (1) year of experience as a Software Developer or related.

One (1) years of experience must include utilizing NodeJS, Kubernetes, Nginx, SQL, Docker, RedHat OpenShift.

$226158 to $289200 per year.
