What You'll Do:
As a Generator Service Technician, you'll be essential to keeping our clients powered up. You'll be responsible for:
Maintenance & Repair: Service generator sets from 5-5000kW and troubleshoot Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS), including bypass isolation and closed transition types.
Engine Diagnostics: Diagnose and repair diesel and gaseous engine systems, including ignition components and fuel injection systems.
Testing: Perform load bank testing to verify performance standards and code compliance.
Collaboration: Work alongside and support fellow technicians on larger jobs and complex troubleshooting.
Preventative Maintenance: Conduct oil changes, filter replacements, and inspect components to ensure optimal performance.

Education & Experience
High School Diploma required, Associate's degree in an electrical or mechanical field preferred
Generac certification or 5-10 years of generator experience is highly desirable
Military background (e.g., Air Force Electrical Power Production Specialist or Navy Electrician's Mate) is a big plus
Skills
Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting ability
Effective communication and time management
Tech-savvy: Proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe PDF tools
Clean driving record and valid driver's license (field work required)
What to Expect in This Role:
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., climb ladders, and work in tight spaces
Work Environment: Varying conditions, including outdoor work and proximity to mechanical equipment
Travel: Occasional overnight travel (1-3 nights/week), with expenses covered per company policy
Additional Requirements:
Must pass a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screening
Must pass a Department of Transportation physical
