We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Press Operator 2 to join our team in Houston, United States. In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining various printing presses to produce high-quality printed materials efficiently and accurately.
Set up, operate, and monitor printing presses to ensure optimal performance and quality output
Interpret work orders and specifications to determine job requirements
Adjust press settings, including ink flow, paper feed, and speed, to meet production specifications
Perform regular maintenance and cleaning of printing equipment
Troubleshoot and resolve issues with printing presses and related equipment
Monitor print quality throughout production runs and make necessary adjustments
Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines and maintain workflow efficiency
Maintain accurate records of job details, materials used, and production metrics
Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area
Assist in training junior press operators as neededQualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in printing technology preferred
2-3 years of experience as a press operator in a commercial printing environment
Proficiency in operating various types of printing presses and related equipment
Strong knowledge of printing processes, techniques, and industry standards
Ability to read and interpret work orders, specifications, and technical documentation
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Keen attention to detail and commitment to quality control
Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting
Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods
Excellent color perception and eye for detail
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends as needed
Additional Information
The pay range for this role at the noted location is $22.75 – 31.50 / hour. The actual rate of pay offered may vary based upon, but not limited to: education, skills, experience, proficiency, performance, and shift.
In addition to base salary, depending on the role, the total compensation package may also include overtime.
