Position Summary:

Green Bay Country Club is seeking a motivated, personable, and team-oriented Golf Shop & Junior Golf Assistant to join our professional staff. This individual will play a key role in supporting daily golf operations and enhancing the member and guest experience at one of Wisconsin’s premier private clubs. The position works closely with the Director of Golf and the golf professional team and also supports the Director of Instruction in organizing and delivering high-quality junior golf programs.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide exceptional customer service in the Golf Shop including merchandising, sales, tee time management, and member communication.

Assist in tournament operations and member events, including preparation, execution, and follow-up.

Support the Director of Instruction in conducting junior golf camps, clinics, and individual instruction.

Maintain a professional presence on the golf course, practice areas, and during junior golf sessions.

Perform minor club repair services such as regripping and shaft replacement.

Assist with inventory control, including receiving, tagging, and restocking merchandise.

Contribute to the overall professional appearance, cleanliness, and organization of the Golf Shop and teaching areas.Requirements:

Qualifications:

Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-first mindset.

Passion for golf and a desire to grow within the golf industry.

Prior experience working in a golf shop or golf instruction setting preferred.

PGA Associate or interest in pursuing PGA Membership is a plus.

Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

Basic knowledge of club repair and junior golf development is a bonus.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

Stand and walk for extended periods of time, often on uneven terrain (e.g., golf course and practice facilities).

Lift, carry, and move merchandise, golf equipment, and supplies up to 50 pounds.

Bend, stoop, and reach in order to stock merchandise, set up events, and assist with junior golf activities.

Work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a courteous and professional demeanor.

Be exposed to seasonal outdoor elements including heat, humidity, sun exposure, wind, and rain.
