Engineering Manager

1. Summary:

The Engineering Manager is responsible for managing engineers and providing support to meet company objectives and customer demands that include meeting customer orders, continuous improvement, project management and tooling development.

2. Qualifications:

· B.S. in Engineering

· Manufacturing Experience – Minimum 10 Years preferred

· Management Experience – 5 Years minimum preferred

· Ability to provide leadership and mentoring

· Proven track record of statistical problem solving

· Tool design experience with CAD

· Ability to recognize problems (critical thinking) through observation and provide problem resolution

· Ability to use statistical analysis software

· Understanding of quality control and practical application of SPC

· Experience with measurement tools and gage R&R techniques

· Proven lean manufacturing experience including 5S methodology and improvements to process inefficiency

· Ability to work with others collaboratively and provide a high level of support to all team members

· Strong written and verbal communication skills

· Strong computer skills using Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

· Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously using Gantt project management software

· Provide clear and concise report summaries for qualifications, test studies, etc.

· High level of mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot processes and equipment

· Provide hands-on support and analysis by studying processes and working closely with manufacturing associates

· Schedule projects and provide resource prioritization
