Senior System Analyst – SCADA
(Hybrid Westchester, NY OR Bronx, NY 3x a week on-site)
Position Overview:
We are seeking a qualified and motivated individual to join our team as a Senior System Analyst – SCADA. This position plays a critical role in the design, development, implementation, and ongoing support of Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems. The selected candidate will contribute to maintaining the reliability, availability, and cybersecurity of essential IT/OT infrastructure, with a particular focus on real-time operational technology within a utility environment.
The role involves hands-on responsibilities, including application troubleshooting, support for system upgrades, and active participation in a major SCADA system replacement initiative commencing later this year. The Senior System Analyst will work collaboratively with both field personnel and technical teams, assist in testing and documentation efforts, and engage with advanced SCADA technologies.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the implementation, integration, and day-to-day operations of SCADA systems
Contribute to lifecycle planning and execution for SCADA system upgrades and transitions
Collaborate with field technicians to configure, test, and troubleshoot communication with field devices
Assist in gathering technical and functional requirements and participate in system testing and documentation
Monitor SCADA applications and database performance, responding promptly to system or cybersecurity incidents
Troubleshoot SCADA software issues to ensure system availability, reliability, and safety
Participate in Disaster Recovery exercises and Business Continuity initiatives
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related discipline, with 1–4 years of direct SCADA experience
Associate’s degree with a minimum of 3 years of SCADA experience
High School Diploma/GED with at least 5 years of relevant SCADA experience
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with AVEVA Enterprise SCADA (formerly OASyS DNA) or comparable SCADA platforms
Familiarity with cybersecurity principles and protective controls
Proficiency in .NET and/or Microsoft SQL for application development or scripting
Demonstrated involvement in SCADA upgrade projects and associated testing procedures
Background in regulated industries or critical infrastructure environments
Additional Requirements:
Must be available to work onsite a minimum of three (3) days per week at designated NYC-area locations (Bronx and Westchester)
Must be available for emergency response duties as part of the System Emergency Assignment
Valid driver’s license is required
