Civil Engineer / Project Manager

Location: Denver, Colorado, Type: Direct Hire Remote

Salary: based on experience

About the Opportunity:

Our client, a nationally recognized civil engineering firm, is seeking a Civil Engineer / Project Manager to lead and manage diverse land development and infrastructure projects across the United States. This is a great opportunity for a driven, experienced civil engineer looking to take ownership of projects, mentor junior staff, and work in a collaborative and flexible environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, design, and oversee civil engineering projects, including land/site development, roadways, stormwater, water distribution, and sewer systems

Manage project lifecycles from concept through construction, including budgeting, scheduling, permitting, and stakeholder coordination

Prepare and review proposals, contracts, technical specifications, and engineering reports

Lead project meetings and act as the main point of contact for clients, agencies, consultants, and contractors

Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal codes and regulations

Conduct field inspections and provide technical support during construction

Mentor and lead junior engineers, designers, and technical staff

Drive collaboration and continuous improvement within the team

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering

Active Professional Engineer (PE) license

5-10 years of relevant civil engineering and project management experience (land development preferred)

Strong understanding of site design, grading, drainage, utilities, and roadway infrastructure

Proficient in engineering software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and HEC-RAS

Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills

Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously

Willingness to travel to project sites when needed
