Job Title: Controls Engineer
Location: Lincoln, NE
Contract Duration: 12 months (with potential for extension or future opportunities)

Position Summary:
Client is seeking a Controls Engineer to support the installation and implementation of a Manufacturing Execution System (MES) at their highly automated Lincoln, NE facility. This is a high-impact project focused on modernizing and connecting manufacturing operations as part of a broader digital transformation roadmap.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the technical resource for the MES digital transformation initiative.
Collaborate with the digital transformation team, project managers, and internal stakeholders.
Apply Project Management methodologies, including Agile practices and tools like Microsoft Project.
Coordinate with the internal controls and manufacturing engineering teams to align systems and process integration.
Support data collection, process mapping, and integration into Client’s digital ecosystem.
Provide input on dashboard visualizations and reporting systems, including use of Tableau.
Ensure systems connect with cloud infrastructure and align with company-wide digital goals.
Work with a cross-functional team of 11 engineers and 7 controls engineers.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial digital transformation environment.
Strong software and programming background: proficient in SQL, Java, and general software technologies.
Hands-on experience with MES systems, data analytics, and automation tools.
Demonstrated experience coordinating cross-functional teams and driving technical projects.
Strong understanding of process improvement, troubleshooting, and workflow optimization.
Ability to work independently, take initiative, and communicate effectively across diverse teams.
Preferred Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
