What You’ll Do:
You’ll take the reins on all aspects of billing, credentialing, and reimbursement management. This role is vital in supporting our mission and ensuring that we remain efficient, compliant, and financially healthy.
Your Responsibilities Include:
Overseeing day-to-day billing and credentialing operations—including coding, claims, payment posting, and reimbursement
Leading provider/site credentialing and ensuring payer compliance
Conducting annual internal and external billing/coding audits and providing educational follow-ups
Collaborating with EHR vendors to ensure billing system performance
Communicating updates from insurance payers to the billing team
Maintaining fee schedules, generating refunds, and managing DDE training (Medicare)
Tracking and analyzing billing and coding data to support revenue optimization
Providing coding feedback to providers and resolving coding-related denials
Keeping written policies up to date and aligned with industry standards
You’ll Lead:
Patient Accounts Specialist
Billing Specialist(s)
Credentialing Specialist(s)
What You Bring:
High School diploma required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s in Accounting or Business preferred (or 3 additional years of relevant work experience)
5+ years of experience in medical billing, collections, and credentialing
5+ years in a leadership role
Proficiency in billing, coding, and credentialing processes; AAPC or AHIMA certification strongly preferred
Working knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 coding
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong analytical skills and ability to resolve complex billing issues
Prior experience with FQHC revenue cycle operations preferred
