Position Summary
Air Force operations rely heavily on ground vehicles to complete missions. As a Ground Transportation specialist, it’s your job to transport precious cargo, including people, supplies, expeditionary forces and munitions. You’ll utilize many essential skills such as determining vehicle specifications, reading maps and compasses, and assessing risks to coordinate ground operations so that cargo gets where it needs to go safely and efficiently.
Primary Responsibilities
Schedule and coordinate cargo transportation.
Perform pre- and post-operation vehicle inspections.
Provide transportation for distinguished guests and special events.
Investigate accidents and incidents.
Perform night operations, including operating vehicles in blackout conditions.

Qualifications
Must have a high school diploma, GED with 15 college credits or GED
Mechanical ASVAB requirements
Knowledge of vehicle operation
Possession of a valid state driver’s license to operate government motor vehicles
Must maintain eligibility to deploy and mobilize worldwide
Normal color vision
Completion of 7.5 weeks of Basic Military Training
Must be between the ages of 17 and 39
