An industry leader in the food manufacturing space is looking for an Automation Technician to join their team in Wisconsin on a permanent basis. This Automation Technician position will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing automated production equipment, including robotic systems, packaging machinery, and integrated control systems.
Responsibilities include:
Perform preventive maintenance on automated manufacturing equipment
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems
Program and maintain PLC systems and HMI interfaces
Troubleshoot and repair robotic systems and end-of-arm tooling
Maintain and calibrate sensors, motors, and control systems
Collaborate with production teams to optimize equipment performance
Assist in training personnel to operate, maintain, and the setup of production machinery and equipment
Document maintenance activities and maintain accurate repair records (CMMS)
Respond to emergency breakdown situations
Key Qualifications Include:
Associate’s degree or a journeyman status in Electronic Technology - Automation, Electromechanical Maintenance Technology, Industrial Machine Repair, or related technical field.
3+ years of experience maintaining automated manufacturing equipment
Strong knowledge of PLCs, HMI systems, and industrial controls
Experience with robotic systems and programming
Proficiency in reading electrical schematics and mechanical drawings
Shift options -
1st shift – 5.30am – 1.30pm
2nd shift – 12.30pm – 8.30pm
3rd shift – 8.30pm – 5.30am
