Insight Global is seeking a talented and experienced Model Based Systems Engineer with a background in Aerospace Engineering to work for one of our largest clients in the Hampton, VA area. This person will work on a Human Research Program that is responsible for developing methods to protect the health and performance of astronauts in space. With the goal of traveling to mars and beyond. The team is using ground research facilities, the international space station, and analog environments to enable cutting-edge science.
Responsibilities:
Work with stakeholders and experts in the medical and flight operations, clinical science, and space flight program Systems Engineering and Integration (SE&I) areas.
Apply systems engineering principles and rigor to the task and implement systems engineering products and processes across various parts of the SE lifecycle.
Work with full Systems Engineering team to identify customer problems, propose and implement digital engineering solutions.
Provide Model-Based Systems Engineering and SysML guidance to systems engineering teammates and customers.
Manage SysML models and administer MBSE tools.
Must-Haves Requirements
B.S. in an Engineering field M.S. in Aerospace or Systems Engineering
Minimum 7 years of experience in Systems Engineering Professional experience in Model-Based Systems Engineering
Experience using the System Modeling Language (SysML) in MagicDraw (Cameo Systems Modeler)
Proficient in scripting languages (Python, JavaScript, Groovy, etc.) to automate tasks and exchange data via tools’ Application Programming Interfaces
Data visualization in Power BI, task automation using Power Automate, user applications in Power Apps, etc.
Agile
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Experience with Jira and Confluence Experience with Power BI for data analysis and visualization
Experience building and integrating Power Apps solutions with other systems
Experience with requirements management in a tool such as DOORS, Cradle or JAMA
Compensation:
$40/hr to $60/hr.
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
