$125,000–$140,000 + On-Call Rotation (1 in 8 Weeks)
Location: Orange County, CA – Must be Eligible for Security Clearance
Join a fast-scaling space technology company developing next-generation satellite infrastructure. We are expanding our DevOps team with two hires to strengthen the infrastructure that supports mission-critical systems in Earth observation.
As a DevOps Engineer, you’ll work in a collaborative scrum team of six engineers and a scrum master, reporting directly to the engineering lead. Your focus will be on Kubernetes operations, infrastructure-as-code with Terraform, and securing our AWS-based cloud environment.
This is a high-impact role with room to grow—whether you aim to become a senior/principal engineer or develop into a leadership track in the future.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Operate, manage, and secure Kubernetes clusters
Deploy and maintain infrastructure using Terraform
Ensure compliance and collaborate with cybersecurity for secure AWS operations
Contribute to platform uptime through on-call rotation (1 week every ~8 weeks)
Collaborate across satellite ops, analytics, and product software teams
Implement DevOps best practices and CI/CD pipelines using tools like ArgoCD/FluxCD
What We’re Looking For:
3+ years in Linux Systems Admin and cloud (AWS preferred)
Strong Kubernetes expertise (certifications a plus)
Proficiency with Terraform and scripting (Python or Go)
Ability to obtain a security clearance
Willingness to work onsite 3 days/week (ad hoc flexibility possible)
Nice to Have:
AWS Security or Kubernetes certifications
Interest in working within a space-focused company mission
If you’re passionate about DevOps and the space sector, and ready to apply your skills to support impactful satellite missions, we’d love to hear from you.
