One of our large clients who is the world’s largest providers of facility services and solutions, is seeking a permanent Electrical Test Engineer to join their growing team in Virginia to support various project sites in Southern Virginia. This Engineer will be driving directly from their home to the specific sites they’re supporting each day (within a 2-hour radius), that can be located in Chesapeake, Boydton, Sandston, or various other locations in Southern VA. This individual will be provided a company vehicle, gas card, laptop, cell phone, company credit card, and gas card. This is a full-time permanent opportunity and relocation can also be offered for this role. Responsibilities include:
Traveling to customer sites to inspect, test, troubleshoot, perform start-up and collect data on electrical systems
Testing and commissioning protection and control systems on high voltage substations
Maintain, test, repair, rebuild, and replace low, medium, and high voltage switchgear and circuit breakers
Troubleshoot automatic transfer switches as well as test and inspect low, medium, and high voltage cable installations.
Maintain, test, and repair transformers and related equipment
Test and calibrate solid-state and electro-mechanical relays
Conduct low and medium-voltage motor control center and contractor testing.
Completing sampling and analysis of insulated fluids as well as arc-flash and shock analyses
Conducting limited and routine investigations, tests, and evaluations as needed
Documenting test results, communicating to internal teas and completing field reports

Qualifications
NETA Level 3 or 4 (or NICET equivalent certification)
Minimum of 2 years of related work experience
Experience in or capable of managing medium-sized (multi-week) projects
Salary Range: $130,000-$135,200 (flexible based on experience)
Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm
Hiring Method: Full-time, permanent opportunity
Travel: Can be traveling to 1-3 project sites a week (within a 2 hour radius) and will be paid for any time in the car over 30 minutes
Relocation Package: $5,000-$10,000 relocation package is available depending on individual's logistics
