Lead Data Engineer

I am partnered with a Real Estate Finance and Investment firm who mange a $100 billion asset management portfolio, but move with a startup mindset.

They are at the forefront of agility, automation and AI driven technologies, leveraging technologies like Open AI to streamline operations and are currently looking to hire a Senior Data Engineer within the team.

You will be responsible for helping to provide strategic direction and technical oversight for a significant initiative that focuses on rebuilding and modernizing their current data warehouse infrastructure.

Responsibilities

Lead on the architectural design and implementation of large scale data warehouse systems

Integrate the data warehouse solutions into other areas

Lead and mentor engineers

Solve complex data engineering challenges proactively and apply innovative solutions

Work with other areas of the business to evolve the data engineering needs across the business

Ensure best practices in data governance, security and compliance

Work with stakeholder to facilitate successful adoption of new data initiatives and solutions

Qualifications

7 years+ experience in data engineering

Experience in leading on data architecture

Has experience in building and deployment of data warehouse solutions

Experience with Airflow and Dagster

Experience with Docker, Kubernetes

Experience with dbt, fabric and spark

This will be onsite 2-3 days a week in Warrenton. This position cannot offer sponsorship of transfer of visas at this time.
