Position: Associate Civil Engineer
Company: Investor Owned Utility Company
Location: Van Nest (Bronx, New York)
Duration: 6 Month Contract to Hire
Environment: 5 days a week on-site
Pay Range: $40/HR - $52.50/HR ($80,000-$105,000 Salary)
Required Skills & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Structural or Civil Engineering
2-5 years of experience in a similar position
Experience with commercial, residential, or utility civil/structural engineering projects
Ability to review specs, calculations and drawings
Solid understanding in codes and regulations of the following: NYC building codes, American Welding Society (AWS) codes and American Institution of Steel Construction (AISC) codes
Strong experience working in: Advance Steel, AutoDesk, Tekla, or Autodesk Inventor
Experience working in Excel
Valid driver’s license and registered motor vehicle
Nice to Have Skills & Experience:
Previous engineering experience in a fabrication shop
Job Description:
Insight Global is hiring an Associate Civil Engineer to join the Construction Maintenance and Services group for a top investor owned energy company. This position will be 5 days a week onsite.
In this position, the Associate Civil Engineer will be reviewing structural designs and calculations from the central engineering group, will be fielding and handling questions from the fabrication shop, any RFIs (request for information) and managing models from an initial engineering package design perspective.
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
