Position Summary: The position of the Operations Engineering will be a member of the Engineering Team and responsible for acting as the liaison for the engineering team and collaborating with internal and offshore teams, managing and owning bill of material and record management, and troubleshooting issues related to quality, warranty, aftermarket, and field support. This position will also have forklift testing, troubleshooting, and repair responsibilities at the headquarters and engineering R&D site in Deforest WI.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the following satisfactorily; other duties may be assigned.

Partner with sales and manufacturing teams to configure new lift truck orders and ensure proper communication with cross-functional teams to successfully complete customer orders

Ensure truck model configurations are set up and reviewed for accuracy and in a timely manner

Partner with procurement and supply chain departments to complete part substitutions and deviation projects

Manage truck BOMs (Bill of Material), engineering change notes, and records management with limited guidance

Independently troubleshoot manufacturing issues, not limited to quality, warranty, aftermarket, and field-support

Support new R&D site and equipment setup and organization

Act as department liaison with onsite and offshore team members

Experience or Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Engineering Mechanics, Engineering Physics, or other technical fields

1+ years of hands-on mechanical or electrical experience, ideally in a manufacturing setting

1+ Li-ion battery and charger experience

1+ years with lift trucks or off-highway equipment preferred

Foundational awareness of ANSI B56.1 standards

Experiencing using ERP systems (Plex preferred)

CAD/3D modeling & drawings (SOLIDWORKS)

Competencies

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects through project management and organizational skills, including prioritizing, creating timelines, and ownership within a team environment.

Demonstrated strong listening and communication skills (i.e. oral and written)

Demonstrated strong ability to troubleshoot complex problems with demonstrated success is critical

Ability to advocate and support change, not limited to processes, resources changes, and work priorities.

Ability to work well self-directed given objectives and project goals. Be highly accountable and able to multi-task

Entrepreneurial spirit and continuous improvement mindset

Positive attitude, track record of learning, willingness to learn

High level of mechanical aptitude

Familiarity using mechanics tools
