Senior Full Stack Developer

JustinBradley’s client, a leading source of mortgage financing, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Full Stack Developer to enhance the features of their internal company product using native AWS services. This position involves backend-focused development, integration work, and collaboration with advisors and technical leads. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Python, Java, AWS, and DevOps practices, with an emphasis on building secure, scalable applications in a cloud-native environment.

**Must be able to go on-site to the Reston Town Center in Reston, VA.**

Responsibilities:

Develop and enhance backend services using Python and Java.

Build cloud-native applications using a variety of AWS services.

Collaborate with leads and advisors on new development projects within an established, senior-level team.

Integrate application components with AWS-based services and systems.

Implement secure coding practices and ensure compliance with cloud security best practices.

Leverage DevOps and CI/CD tools for efficient, automated deployments.

Work with production data environments, with occasional involvement in data copying and database restoration.

Participate in on-site collaboration and development activities at RTC.

Requirements:

5+ years of software development experience, with proven expertise in Python and Java.

Hands-on experience in backend development with native AWS services.

Strong understanding of DevOps, release management, and CI/CD frameworks.

Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, team-first mindset.

Ability to contribute in a full SDLC Agile environment with frequent interaction across disciplines.

Experience in full-stack development, including JavaScript and modern frontend frameworks (React, Angular).

Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.

Strong database knowledge, including development, administration, and restoration.

Exposure to production data workflows or data-copy environments.

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.

Minimum of 5 years of relevant IT experience.
