We are seeking a highly skilled ASIC & FPGA Design Engineer to join our advanced electronics development team focused on mission-critical systems for aerospace and defense applications. This contract role involves the design and development of secure, high-reliability digital hardware for avionics, radar, electronic warfare, satellite communications, and other defense platforms. The ideal candidate brings expertise in ASIC/FPGA design workflows and thrives in a disciplined, safety-critical development environment.

Design and implement digital logic using VHDL or Verilog/SystemVerilog for aerospace and defense-grade FPGA and ASIC platforms.

Participate in requirements analysis, architecture design, and partitioning for high-integrity systems.

Perform simulation, synthesis, timing analysis, and place-and-route using industry-standard EDA tools.

Ensure compliance with military and aerospace standards (e.g., DO-254, MIL-STD-461/810, RTCA/DO-160).

Develop comprehensive verification plans and testbenches (UVM or directed testing) to support system-level validation.

Collaborate with systems engineers to ensure proper integration with RF, power, and embedded software components.

Support design reviews, technical documentation, and risk assessments throughout the product lifecycle.

Conduct lab bring-up, hardware validation, and root-cause analysis on prototypes and production hardware.

Work closely with manufacturing, test engineering, and sustainment teams to transition designs to production.
