Portland, Oregon steel manufacturer needs an experienced Maintenance Manager. Will for identify and manage asset reliability risks, by applying predictive and preventative procedures that support the safety and efficiency of the plant. With employee safety as a top priority, you will manage a team of electrical and mechanical maintenance employees.
Work with engineering and operations to ensure production reliability of equipment.
Maintain new and modified equipment installations.
Work on design and commissioning of new steel processing equipment
Use failure analysis techniques to identify root causes and develop solutions
Study and mitigate machinery reliability risks that could impact plant production.
Manage a team of supervisors and develop a departmental plan
Evaluate technical MRO equipment, and both MRO and maintenance service suppliers
Requirements
Bachelor's degree preferred plus 10-15 years of industrial maintenance and reliability experience.
Should have a strong background in maintenance and reliability, including at least five years of project management experience. Extensive knowledge of Reliability Systems and Preventative/Predictive Maintenance programs.
Steel manufacturing experience is preferred.
