We are seeking an experienced Network Engineer (Level III) - This role will focus on designing, engineering, and deploying Spine/Leaf IP fabric networks to support 5G services and automation in Service Aggregation Point (SAP) and Transport Aggregation Point (TAP) locations.
As part of a dynamic and strategic engineering team, the successful candidate will play a key role in automating network configurations, managing large-scale fabric deployments, and ensuring successful migration of 5G services. This is a remote position, with occasional scheduled maintenance work during off-hours.
Key Responsibilities:
Engineer and deploy IP Layer 2/3 spine/leaf fabric networks across 5G aggregation points.
Utilize automation tools and Methods of Procedure (MOPs) to configure devices and services.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure configurations meet application and network requirements.
Maintain accurate site-specific details such as IP addressing, BGP peers, and fabric topology.
Support fabric deployment using controllers (underlay/overlay) and contribute to workflow automation improvements.
Perform pre- and post-deployment validation, documentation, and performance tuning.
Lead efforts for timely delivery and migration of 5G services across new builds.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
5+ years of hands-on experience with IP networking, including IPv4/IPv6, routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, IS-IS), and fabric architectures (VXLAN, EVPN).
Experience with network automation tools and configuration scripting.
Strong grasp of network topologies, routing policies, and network services lifecycle.
Ability to read and interpret high-level designs and translate them into deployable network configurations.
Cisco CCIE, Nokia NRS-II/NRS-II+ or equivalent certifications highly preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Cisco VTS or Nokia Nuage.
Familiarity with virtualized network functions (VNFs) and software-defined networking (SDN).
Working knowledge of call flows, transport protocols, and large-scale deployment best practices.
Shift Details:
Standard daytime schedule.
Occasional night/weekend maintenance windows as needed.
