Research and Development Test Engineer

Position: Test Engineer (Medical Device)

Location: Wayne, NJ

Duration: Longterm on W2

This is a testing-focused role within R&D and Sustaining Engineering teams. The ideal candidates will have medical device testing experience, strong report-writing skills, and a willingness to learn. Protocol writing is not required—the primary focus is on executing and documenting product tests.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform verification and validation (V&V) testing of medical devices (Class II or III preferred).

Administer tests both internally and at external test labs.

Write clear and detailed test reports based on results.

Collaborate with R&D and sustaining teams to support product development and improvement.

Follow relevant regulatory and quality standards for medical device testing.

Required Qualifications:

Hands-on testing experience in the medical device industry.

Background in R&D or Sustaining Engineering environments.

Strong skills in test execution and technical report writing.

Willingness to learn and adapt—training will be provided.

Preferred Qualifications:

Degree in Biomedical Engineering or related field.

Experience with Class II or III medical devices.

Prior work with or at external test facilities.

Candidates from New Jersey are highly preferred.
