Lead QA Automation (Java/Python - Selenium)

Project Description:

We are looking for a hands-on Onsite Test Manager to lead test planning, automation strategy, and execution for advanced connectivity devices supporting our satellite broadband systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in test automation using Selenium and API testing tools, with proven experience in Wi-Fi system validation. This role requires close collaboration with hardware, software, and network engineering teams to ensure high-quality, reliable performance of our consumer and enterprise connectivity products.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the test team onsite in Houston, and available at client location on need basis

• Should drive test strategy and execution for product releases.

• Define and implement automated test solutions using Selenium (for UI) and Postman/RestAssured (for API) frameworks.

• Develop and maintain automated test scripts and pipelines for functional, regression, and performance testing.

• Set up and manage test environments including Wi-Fi test beds, automation infrastructure, and network emulators.

• Analyze test results, troubleshoot failures, and drive resolution with cross-functional teams.

• Own test metrics, reporting, and quality dashboards.

• Ensure testing aligns with agile product development and CI/CD practices.

Mandatory Skills Description:

• 7+ years of software or system testing experience, including 3+ years in a leadership or management role.

• Strong hands-on experience in Selenium WebDriver, Java/Python, and API testing tools (e.g., Postman, RestAssured ).

• Experience in automating tests for embedded devices, routers, modems, or IoT products.

• Familiarity with Jenkins, Git, and test result visualization tools.

• Excellent communication and team management skills.

• Must be available full-time onsite in Houston, TX and ready to travel as needed.
