SITECH NorCal has a need for a Bench Technician at our San Leandro, CA location.

SUMMARY

The main purpose of this position is to perform product repair/maintenance for SITECH/Trimble products, while also supporting SITECH salesforce and our customers. Products to be worked on include Trimble Machine Control products such as GPS Base Stations, GPS Rovers, Control Boxes, Data Collectors, as well as optical equipment such as Robotic Total Stations, Rotating Lasers and Levels.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Assist in the management of all customer contact information within the CRM package (SalesForce.com) and service parts logistics/inventories.

Handle all service-related products, customer requests and service parts inventory are critical to the success of our organization’s service/support goals in a timely manner.

Repair SITECH / Trimble GPS Machine Control products, as well as Optical equipment such as Robotic Total Stations, Lasers and other general construction equipment.

Process related inventory transactions and required paper work that pertains to service inventory management requirements.

Complete delivery checks on new equipment going out to customers

Manage service parts inventory levels.

Assist with the management of customer contact information within SITECH NorCal’s CRM databases to insure accurate data recording.

Direct interface with customers and SITECH NorCal sales network.

Work towards defined key metrics regarding turnaround time, technician productivity and quality.

Communicate with customers on any questions they might have regarding their equipment or any repairs that have been done to their equipment.

Be available to answers incoming calls when needed.

Maintain punctual, regular, and predictable attendance.

QUALIFICATIONS

Associates Degree from a fully accredited college in a closely related field; and a minimum of 2 years of directly related experience in electronics, mechanical, and/or optical service repairs; or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
