Business Development Manager/Director - Private Equity & CFO Services

Our team of experienced finance professionals deliver interim leadership, buy and sell-side transaction support and performance improvement services across the portfolio lifecycle. We help sponsors navigate complex financial situations, accelerate integration, and prepare portfolio companies for rapid growth and exits. Position Overview:
The Business Development Manager will play a key role in expanding our footprint within the private equity ecosystem. This individual will be responsible for identifying and developing new client relationships, nurturing existing accounts, and driving revenue growth through strategic outreach and partnership development.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify and engage potential clients, primarily high growth companies, private equity sponsors and portfolio companies
Build and maintain strong relationships with CFO’s, deal professionals, operating partners, and other C-Suite executives
Develop and execute outreach strategies including cold outreach, networking, and attending industry events
Develop and maintain referral relationships with other service providers and establish partnerships with providers complementary to our offerings
Coordinate with internal teams to tailor service offerings to match client needs
Maintain a robust pipeline of opportunities and update CRM systems regularly
Provide market intelligence and client feedback to inform service development and positioning
Collaborate with internal marketing team on campaigns, thought leadership, and brand-building efforts
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field
2+ years of business development or sales experience, ideally in consulting, financial services, private equity, or accounting
Strong understanding of the private equity landscape, deal lifecycle and the role of the CFO
Exceptional communication, networking, and relationship-building skills
Self-starter with a results-driven mindset and the ability to work independently
Compensation:
Base salary plus uncapped commissions (on target for 60-100+% of base); standard benefits package
