Must Haves: Python, Rest API, Angular, some Java - This is an Application Developer focused Python Role, NOT Data Science or Data Engineering.

Job Summary

Responsible for developing object-orientated software in Python, object-oriented database, and grid computing using proprietary Quartz platform.

Responsible for developing data transfer tools to replicate data from no-sql datastore to an Oracle (Exadata) database

Responsible for building REST web services

Responsible for designing interface between UI and REST service.

Responsible for building data-grid centric UI based on Angular framework.

Participating fully in the development process through the entire software lifecycle.

Participating fully in Agile software development process

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain high-quality Python-based applications.

Collaborate with quantitative researchers to analyze data and create domain-specific solutions.

Design and implement risk and pricing applications, working within a financial services environment.

Participate in full-stack development, leveraging REST APIs, ReactJS, and other technologies.

Work with both object-oriented and relational databases to manage data effectively.

Provide insights and expertise in trade surveillance and market conduct, enhancing systems to support compliance and regulatory requirements.

Utilize knowledge of the Quartz platform, if applicable, to optimize development for specific trading applications.

Required Skills

5+ years of hands-on experience with Python programming.

3+ years as a senior developer, with experience in front-office applications within the banking sector a plus and/or big technology companies

2+ years of experience with REST, ReactJS, OR full-stack development.

Proficiency in both object-oriented and relational database systems.
