Computer Aided Design Designer

Job Title: Contract Electrical Harness Designer (Capital CAD & NX)

Location: Onsite Costa Mesa- Per diem

Duration: 3 Months

Clearance: "U.S. Citizenship required" or "Active Security Clearance preferred"

Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Harness Designer with strong Capital CAD and Siemens NX skills to support a high-impact mission system integration project at Anduril's site. This is a hands-on, contract role focused on routing, harness development, and CAD-to-drawing conversions.

Key Responsibilities:

Use Siemens NX for 3D routing of electrical harnesses within complex assemblies

Interpret and apply bundling requirements to support manufacturability and system reliability

Translate redlines into formal drawing revisions using Capital and associated tools

Create new harness designs based on mission system requirements

Develop accurate and complete electrical drawings from CAD sketches using Capital

Collaborate closely with mechanical, electrical, and systems engineering teams onsite

Requirements:

Proven experience with Capital (formerly Mentor Capital) for electrical design and documentation

Proficiency in Siemens NX, specifically for electrical routing

Strong understanding of vehicle integration and harness architecture

Ability to convert conceptual sketches into complete and compliant DWGs

Excellent attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment

Availability to work full-time onsite at facility for the duration of the contract

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in defense, aerospace, or automotive harness design

Familiarity with mission systems and ruggedized harness requirements

Experience working in a cross-disciplinary engineering team
