About the position

The Associate Editor in Competition Law / Antitrust edits legal articles by various expert authors, and prepares for publication regular news issues and special issues on different topics within competition law. The position allows the right candidate to work with many thought leaders in the field on some of the most cutting edge topics in present day competition law, including: the current antitrust concerns around Big Tech, exemptions from competition law rules and excessive pricing issues during COVID-19, changes to merger review and tightening of rules for foreign direct investment, deciding what national measures constitute illegal State aid, making competition law more environmentally sustainable, the evolving difference between North American, European, and other competition law regimes, etc. The Associate Editor's tasks may include:

Sourcing, editing, and publishing legal articles by expert authors (lawyers, economists, regulators, academics, etc.) from jurisdictions around the world

Preparing for publication weekly news issues and special issues of the online antitrust journal e-Competitions, read regularly by tens of thousands of antitrust professionals globally (including most national competition authorities, law firms, economic consulting firms, etc.)

Collaborating with other teams to promote Concurrences publications and events through mailing campaigns and social media communications

Working on special publication projects as needed

Actively participating in internal company initiatives like antitrust news meeting, social media strategy, book club, local volunteering, etc.

Candidate’s profile & required skills

Master's degree in Law or Economics, preferably with knowledge of competition law / antitrust

Previous experience working for a publishing firm, law firm, economic consulting firm, or regulatory agency an asset

Fluent level of proficiency of English, preferably native or bilingual level of proficiency (reading, writing, listening, and speaking)

Solid experience working with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel...) and Google tools (Gmail, Google Docs, Google Sheets...)

Knowledge of posting on social networks Linkedin, Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook

Comfortability working in a professional environment with people from different cultures, nationalities, languages, etc.

Ability to work in a team and independently
